Your journal, your rules.
What it does
Features
Journal builder
Create a journal and pick what you want to track. If something changes, you can always change your journal too.
AI dictation (offline)
Too lazy to type? Just say it! Tenot turns it into text so nothing gets lost.
Photo to text (offline)
Attach a photo and Tenot describes everything in it. Really handy for tracking food or, in my case, skin problems.
Charts
They make it easy to see what depends on what. For example, I saw how food affects my skin.
Export
One tap and your journal is a PDF you can show your doctor, for example. Or feed it to an AI for analysis.
No cloud
All your data stays on your phone. Only there.
About Tenot
Why Tenot
I’ve had seborrheic dermatitis for a long time. Over a couple of years I went to different clinics and different doctors, but never got a treatment that works every time. This year I decided to track how my skin changes depending on what I eat and how I take care of it.
For six months I kept a food journal and a skincare journal in the notes app on my phone. Besides adding photos, I described how the skin looked in different spots, trying to catch the smallest changes. I learned a lot about my body that way.
But honestly, the notes app wore me out. It’s really clumsy for this, and every month I wanted to quit a little more.
That’s how Tenot came about: a really quick and easy way to keep a journal. Literally one swipe and you’ve got a new entry. Tap through the fields you need, or just dictate, and the app writes it all down with punctuation (in case you forgot where the commas go). And if you like writing, you can do that too. HOW you keep your journal is up to YOU. Tenot just helps.
All the core features, AI included, are free. There are paid features too. They come with Premium, a one-time purchase with no damn subscriptions. And to figure out whether you need Premium, every feature is unlocked for free for the first 30 days!

Tenot is launching soon
The app isn't out yet. Drop me a line and I'll let you know when it's on the App Store and Google Play.
In short
Tenot doesn’t do anything with your data, in the sense that it doesn’t send it to any servers or any third-party services. All your data is stored on your phone, and Tenot processes it only on your phone too. Nowhere else. The only things that use the internet are ads, purchases, and a one-time AI model download — none of them receive your entries.
Your entries stay with you
Text, photos, and everything else you put into your journals is stored only inside the app on your phone. There is no cloud sync. If you delete an entry or a journal, it’s deleted from your phone. If you delete the app, all your data is deleted with it. Want to keep it? Export it to PDF first.
AI runs on your phone
Speech recognition runs on the device, using the system’s own recognizer. On Android, the phone may download a language pack for recognition once — that’s done by the system, not by Tenot. Photo descriptions and text cleanup run on an AI model installed right on your phone. The model is downloaded once from Hugging Face, and only a standard file download request is sent, without any of your data. After that, the AI works offline.
The AI only describes what’s actually in the photo and writes down what you dictated. It doesn’t make anything up.
Permissions
Camera and photos are needed to attach pictures to entries. Microphone and speech recognition are needed for voice input. Each permission is requested only the first time you use the feature, and you can revoke it anytime in your phone settings.
Ads (Google AdMob)
Tenot shows ads from Google AdMob. Banners are shown if Premium hasn’t been purchased. There are no ads during the first 30 days. The ads module starts when the app launches and may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, and technical data about your device and ad interactions. Users in the EU, the UK, and certain US states first see a consent request (Google UMP). On iOS, personalized ads are only possible after you allow tracking in the system App Tracking Transparency prompt. Without consent, you see non-personalized ads. More: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Purchases (RevenueCat)
Premium is purchased through the App Store or Google Play, and the purchase status is verified by RevenueCat. It receives your purchase history and an anonymous app user ID, but never the content of your journals. Payment details are handled by Apple and Google; I never see them.
Export
You can export a journal to PDF. The file goes only where you send it yourself via “Share”.
Contacting the developer and error logs
Settings include a “Contact the developer” form. It opens your email app with a prepared message, and you send it yourself. Optionally, a technical log is attached: app crashes and details about how the AI performs on your phone (for example, how long a response took). The content of your entries never goes into the log.
Age
There are no age restrictions. Tenot doesn’t ask for your age. Ads in the app are limited to content suitable for a general audience.
Who’s behind the app
Tenot is made by Yakov (yakiiiv). I have no access to the data you enter in Tenot: it’s stored only on your phone, and only you control it. Questions — [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
